hello im Théodore mourgues and today im going to present my vision of the sparing project

to begin we had to gather in groups , i teamed up with clement presmases and paul massicard

first we need to know what is a spar ,  The spar is a beam which takes the load along the wing, from wing tip to fuselage.  So it is a very important part of the plane

the principel of the project is kind simple, we have to craft a spar out of 6 balsa rods, some glue and a string of 1m.
first of all we had to choose a design, we knew that the most effective design was the H shape but we wanted to try something new so we imagined a new shape which im goind to discribe

our spar is composed of 3 full horisontal rods of balsa glued togather side to side above one another ,it is supposed to be a strong body to resist the shear force

we also planed to glue on each side of the spar vertical peaces of wood ,we devided the three others rods in tiny parts of 2 cm each , we had about 150 peaces ,we glued 75 peces on each side ,
each small reinforcement is 2cm apart
we thought it would reduce the bending because it were suposed to stop the main part of the spar from deforming to much,
then we added the string righte below the main part for the same reason

at the building part of the project we had 1 hour to build ,but we could only be two teamate , i dicided to build it with paul
a the end of this hour we had acheved our goal but we remainded puzzeled by the ressult it was not as strong as we thought .
